I made a pre-order for a PS4 way back at the end of June. With a couple of days to go I started to get a bit worried that I had heard nothing. I got in touch through tesco chat to be told I had been sent an email with a link to finish the purchase around the end of October. After questioning them on this they had sent it to an email address that wasn't even mine! Apparently because I hadn't clicked the link in the email I have lost my pre-order! I am absolutely livid. Thats exactly why I did my pre-order months ago, so I could make sure I got it. There was a) no mention when i made the pre-order that an email with a link would be sent out, I just assumed they would send it out to me and b) they sent it to the wrong email address!
and then i was phoned by a call centre worker who could just say 'Sorry' your order has gone to another customer!
Now no doubt I wont get one until February next year. So thanks a lot Tesco, you can kiss goodbye to the weekly shop we get with you but you dont care about that.
I have now given up shopping at tesco, Tesco Metro in Neasden was the final straw.
Dirty and disorganized store, self service tills usually broken, most other tills appear to be just storage areas for returns and are never in use. Yo Yo artificial wine offers, they take the public as fools......
Baguettes which cheap quality are inedible the day after purchase
bitter, soggy coleslaw, all their own brand food just tastes 2nd rate....the list could go on and on.....
I now shop at Sainsburys....clean organised stores.....working tills......and most important tasty good quality food
i did a order when arrive was missing items, i called them a few times and them told me that will do the delivery in the next day. I still waiting for the delivery. nobody call me to say hello and when i called them back them said that will do a refund that i didnt ask for.
horrible service dont take or you will regreat
made a few purchases from tesco website and the items arrive right away! However the last purchase I didn't quite get what I expected due to partial and missing info on the website. They did fix by compensating me after 4 phone calls to them.
So, I placed a large grocery order after defrosting my fridge with Tesco, which they failed to deliver. No communication was made (they had my old mobile phone but ALSO had my home number which they didn't try using). I ring them up next day morning and was told there would be a refund. I had also used vouchers and e-coupons valued 11.6 GBP, of which TESCO only agreed to re-new 7.50 of which. Only AFTER they heard I would be placing my next order with ASDA they made me a better offer of 10.00 GBP.
Anyway, five working days later, no refund has been processed. I contacted them again today and if the refund has not been processed by tomorrow, I am using Citizens Advice to file a formal complaint with the local Trading Standards to be investigated. Had no idea Tesco was in such a mess... Avoid like the plague.
Tesco "finest" Moroccan couscous: I only managed one mouthful, as it tasted disgustingly sweet. On reading the label (which does not use the recommended red/amber/green colour labelling) I was shocked to find the sugar content is a poisonous 24%! If I wanted a dessert I would have bought a dessert. I am taking this back for a refund and I will avoid Tesco in the future.
Have used Tesco.com twice now for large goods (dining table, fridge freezer). Reasonably good information about when they are going to deliver but the actual delivery time can be erratic. 7am to 7pm is too vague.
Items were pretty good and the price was excellent. Havent used for returns yet, which would be another key service when you order from them.
I bought a onesie for my son and the quality is appalling. It was split and they refused to exchange it 6 hours (THE SAME DAY) after purchase because my son had taken the tags off. WELL DONE TESCO HANLEY ON LOOSING A CUSTOMER. I will NEVER shop there again. Oh and dont rely on the staff for support, they tell you to come back and speak to the clothing department the following day and when you ask for a manager... well after the staff call on 2 different managers because the first couldn't be bothered to deal with the query, they come out with bloodshot red eyes looking like they are high as a kite. WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE if you like WASTING your money!!!!!!
Ordered my First Online shopping for Home Delivery, Everything ordered was present, they delivered in the time slot, and the driver was helpful.
Veered away from the fresh produce and meat, as i like to pick these out myself, but took advantage of the tinned, frozen and anything that was on the heavy side such as the bottles of pop wanted for the Christmas and new Years Period.
I will be using the service again, Very impressed
This was delivered from the Enfield Depot
The woman who has spent 10yrs selling poppies every November was reprimanded by the management there for eating a bag of crisps she purchased from the store, she was told that ' it looked unprofessional and neither eating nor drinking was permitted on their shop floor. The middle aged woman who does not work for Tesco was spending a week of her annual leave selling poppies for The Royal British Legion, as she has previously sold poppies at the same store for 5yrs she was unaware of this. Tesco were unrepentant at store level and she was made to feel humiliated and left the store in tears.
So we have special guests this weekend so decided to order online to save time. Our order was supposed to be delivered between 8 and 9 last night but nobody turned up, no communication, no notifications, nothing. At 10pm we phoned them to find out what was going on and they said they would call back but they didn't. At 10.30pm we had heard nothing so we called them again and were told they were running 2hrs late, but our delivery was just round the corner. They offered us £5 as compensation at that stage - ridiculous!! By 11.45 I was pretty tired and gave up and went to bed. At 7am this morning we called them again and were told they could deliver this afternoon so knowing there would be nobody here I told them to cancel the order. Unbelievably rubbish on so many fronts and not what you expect from a company like Tesco.
I bought my daughter two sleeping bags a couple of weeks ago and they were 50% off, and delivered within two days for free to my local tesco express. Can't complain and daughter very happy with them. Would definitely recommend, especially being able to pick a delivery up from around the corner for free.
Used to use Tesco Credit card and usually pay full balance off online every month.
Site was a little bit quirky, but found my way around it and used it OK for the last three years. Then - yes, you've guessed it - they change the site totally, utterly, completely - have to choose new username, new security picture, new password, new security number.... on, and on, and on. Bad enough - but next time I logged on, their stupid site didn't 'recognise' my laptop (must have Alzheimer's because it's the same laptop I used last time I logged in.) Finally managed to log in, and even the home screen has changed - doesn't show the options on the first screen, as it used to - now I have to select 'manage card' Popped upstairs to get my debit card and pay the balance (less than a minute) and.... it had logged me OUT, with a message saying there'd been no activity for 10 minutes. Obviously can't tell the time, as well as the memory loss. Got back in and paid with my debit card (which I'd already had to choose a 'nickname' for. (Nickname..... for a debit card for Christ's sake?)
Why, oh why, cannot these financial institutions just leave things alone, instead of setting some spotty oik, straight out of school (presumably) loose on their site? The whole experience is reminiscent of attempting to negotiate one's way around one of those infantile adventure games on an 80's 8 bit computer.
I'm sacking Tesco card - too much hassle now. We shop at Tesco, and it doubled as the club card, but I've had enough; I've just applied for, and been given an Asda card. I'll use that.
Four customer services advisors, three managers, one senior manager, eight phone calls and two hours of my life wasted trying to sort out an order that they messed up. 36 bottles of wine ordered and an email to say 24 are being refunded due to a warehouse problem. Re-order was wrong, delivery time could not be met, over charged and worse still have to wait 3-5 days for a refund. Level of incompetence of the customer services staff is unbelievable. Keep away. Will stick to Ocado in the future.
I have been using the one-click and collect service for weekly groceries for a few months. The service is pretty good - we normally get what we ordered, occasionally items are substituted but this has always been pointed out on collection and the option to have a refund on these items offered. The website is reasonable to use and has useful options such as Favourites lists although you must have a Tesco Clubcard to activate these options. The website can be a bit erratic to search and sometimes doesn't find items easily but overall the service saves us a lot of time. I also suspect we are buying less spur-of-the-moment purchases which may not please Tesco in the long run! The only time consuming part is searching the Special Offers as this often runs to more than 20 webpages.
for the last 3 Saturdays went into Tesco Liverpool one, to do weekly shop ,no trolley tills open only 1 girl on basket tills 2 staff chatting on self service tills complete farce have they tried to put a weeks shopping on basket till? when you try to complain manager, his deputys or so called till manager not in what a joke I have spent £8900 in that store this year but the attitude of some of the staff is appalling they seem to think they are doing you a favour by serving you. after 20 years of shopping at Tesco I have given up and will not bother setting foot in there stores again. what once was a decent store has been ruined by pennypinching on staffing and the attitude off some of the staff .idont bother going into Liverpool one Tesco if you want to buy more than 10 items
Tesco must be really feeling the pinch when they sent me a voucher to honor a price promise then took it back because I didn't use it within 28 days. I do a large shop once a month which is always over £100. When I phoned to complain I was told that 28 days was ample time to redeem. To me, a price promise should not have a time limit on it and if you are overcharged for something then the refund should be given no matter what timeline. I also notice the the 15% promotion they are doing at the moment on anyone buying more than 3 bottles of wine does not apply to Scotland. Now customer services said it was outwith their control and it was down to the Scottish Government policy. I would say I have been one of their first online customers but that is my last online order I will be giving them and will give the other grocery companies my business in the future.
First few times I order deliver was good .then all went downhill items missing on 2 occasions phone customer services advised will be redelivered still don't tern up and have to phone up again.last time decided to book time slot which worked ok till I opened the box and found bottle missing,Could not be bothered to complain again .Would advices anymore to avoid ordering wine online from tesco.they take your money and don't deliver items is this even legal!
Ive used tesco to deliver groceries for 2 months now.
Dont get swayed to buy stuff
Despite what they say, poor sell by dates.
Erratic delivery timeslots
Occasionally things missing/replaced
Overall i wont carry on after my free delivery period comes to a close.
As millions suffer, it seems fit to to put its basic foods up some times more than a fair price rise, A pack of 15 eggs once around £1.75 now up more £3.00 where do they get there prices from .
With these price hikes, we're set to tumble back into recession as it will make consumers more cautious about spending money. Let alone the millions that already cant afford to feed there families.
I bought a ps3 game from tesco on the 19th of sept nearing 10pm and i done all the transaction and my product was dispatched exactly on the next day and i recieved the product the next day which is even quicker than even they expected. So thanks to tesco and the great delivery service, keep it up guys !
Had a problem paying off my credit card balance last month after Tesco sent me new payment details which replaced the old account details and sort code I had.
I followed this the letter. Paid off the balance and went away on holiday only to discover when I got back that it had been returned unpaid to my bank account. I then received a default notice from Tesco - cheers. Plus, of course a £12 fee to cover the cost of an envelope and a 63p stamp.
Real issue was the phone call I made to their "customer services" which involved an interaction with an uncaring, uninterested, bored individual who frankly couldn't have cared less what had gone on. They were cool to the point of rudeness and made me wonder why on earth I even bother with them as a credit card provider. The woman on the phone patently did not believe me even though I told her I could take screen shots to prove that I had actually sent the payment (twice actually) - and that it had been sent to the right account. I was so cross in the end I just put the phone down. I very rarely ever contact Tesco so when I do, I expect to be treated with respect and dignity. I have never missed a payment before so am hardly a bothersome customer.
I dumped their stores ages ago in favour of the wonderful Waitrose after a member of Tesco staff in their Flitwick store coughed repeatedly over my shopping. Interestingly when I mentioned this to the store manager she said that the individual had a 'long term health problem'. mmmmm. Nice
Interestingly I cannot even email them to complain as they only accept telephone calls or letters - VERY user friendly.
Fish came from a local shop for our consumption. It was almost like a rule. But, one day as the local shopkeeper had sold his stock, I along with my children went to Tesco to buy fish. And since that day we are regular at Tesco. We love the fish and other farm products for the fact that they are so fresh and even the cost is lower than other shops or supermarkets. My husband now doesn't want fish from any other store. Light on pocket high on taste. Thanks Tesco!
sent 2 messages to customer care on line 2 weeks ago via their web forms . gave my full details + my club card number - no response at all. disgusting.
also, nowadays it it impossible to even get into their stores without being chugged by the aggressive charity collectors they allow in the doorways - I complined to in-sore customer services ( Bishops Cleeve store ) about being verablly hassled but they did nothing.
Terrible staff At Boston moss. Whenever I go to toys with my son the minute he picks up a toy the horrible blonde comes and tells him to put it back. Whenever he plays with a Toy the woman gives me dirty looks and whenever a kid puts a toy back in the wrong place she tuts and sighs at me. Also when I get to the till the women there are chatting away to each other. One time I was waiting for five minutes before I asked to be served and then she was just horrible to me. When she asked me for my club card she snatched it off of me and then threw it back at me. Terrible service. I would shut them down If I could. Going straight to asda.
Ordered a garden bench. They called to say the one we ordered was not in stock (but online it said it was, and they had then taken our money - scam! They said they would send us a higher quality one for "no extra charge". It arrived. it was awful. Got it returned over a month ago. Have demanded a refund to my account, but it still hasn't arrived, and they yesterday sent me an email saying they need to wait until the goods are returned until they pay a refund. BE WARNED - NOBODY ORDER FROM TESCO DIRECT!
I have just spent 4 hours waiting in on a Sunday waiting for an agreed wine delivery between 11-1pm. At 3pm I visited the store to find out delivery was not going to be made.
This is the third occasion that Tesco have failed to deliver on the right day and at the right time. If it wasn't for the 25% discount for 6 bottles I wouldn't waste my time ordering
There answer is sorry - not enough when it is the third failure. It is pushing me to Sainsbury as I can't stand the waste of time, poor customer service and lack of acknowledgement that we must be busy to use the delivery service, but belief we have plenty of time to waste
They debit your card and fail to deliver. How would they feel if I visited their supermarket, filled my trolley and failed to pay!!!!
After 3 failed delivery attempts a sorry doesn't cut it
WE ARE BEING FORCED TO SHOP ELSEWARE BY TESCO BEING A PARTNERS WITH COSTA. ( COSTA A LOT.) WE USED TO SHOP AT TESCO PERIVAL AND THEN ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO WE STATED TO SPEND OUR £100+ A WEEK SHOP WENT TO THERE HAYES MIDDX STORE AND GUESS WHAT THAT STORE HAS JUST BECONE A COST A LOT CAFE TOO. SO WE ARE NOW LFFT ONLY WITH THERE OSTERLY STORE AND WILL CONTION TO SHOP AT THAT STORE. BUT TESCO BE WARNED IF YOU DECICDE TO CHANGE OSTLEY CAFE. TO A COSTA A LOT. SAINSBURT HERE WE COME. DPJ777.
I HAVE USED TESCO ONLINE FOR MY GROCERIES E FEW TIMES NOW. THEY GIVE YOU THE SO CALLED OPTION OF SUBSTITUTIONS AND TO ADD A NOTE TO YOUR PICKER (SUPOSEDLY GIVING YOU THE CHANCE TO SPECIFY ANOTHER SIMILAR ITEM IF FIRST CHOICE ISNT IN STOCK) THEY TELL YOU THAT IF YOUR ITEM ISNT AVAILABLE THEY WILL SEND YOU SIMILAR OF EQUAL QUALITY OR BETTER,FOR SAME PRICE.NEARLY EVERY WEEK IN MY ORDER IS CADBURY CHOCOLATE TRIFFLES. NOTE TO PICKER,IF NOT IN STOCK,ANY SIMILAR CHOCOLATE DESSERT OR TRIFFLE WILL DO,DO NOT SEND FRUIT FLAVOUR THOUGH.
SO WHEN EVERTY TIME THEY DO THE EXACT OPPOSIT,I HAD TO ASK WHATS THE POINT OF NOTE TO PICKER? I WAS TOLD THAT IF THE ITEM ORDERED ISNT IN STOCK,THEY ARE AUOTMATICALLY GIVEN A SUBSTITUTION THEY ARE TO PROVIDE INSTEAD,NO MATTER WHAT THE PAYING CUSTOMER MAY HAVE ASKED FOR. INFACT,I WAS TOLD THE PICKERS DO NOT EVEN GET TO SEE YOUR NOTES,THEY SERVE NO PURPOSE.
NICE TO KNOW THAT EVEN THOUGH ITS MY MONEY,THEY DECIDE WHAT I GET.....
IF THATS THE CASE,WHY BOTHER? I WAS TOLD IF IM NOT HAPPY I CAN RETURN IT WITH THE DRIVER FOR A FULL REFUND(A WEEK LATER). WELL IF I DID THAT WITH ALL THE SUBS THEY HAVE BEEN SENDING RECENTLY,I WOULD HAVE TO GO OUT ANYWAY AND DO MOST OF THE SHOPPING MYSELF,TOTALLY NEGATING THE REASON I ORDERED ONLINE IN THE FIRST PLACE,NOT TO MENTION THE DELIVERY FEE AND BUS FARE IT WOULD THEN COST.
FUNNY THJOUGH,AS WHEN I ASKED THEM ABOUT THIS ONCE BEFORE,I WAS GIVEN AN APOLOGY,AND TOLD THE PICKERS DO SEE THE CUSTOMER NOTES,AND SHOULD READ THEM AND FOLLOW THEM WHEREVER POSSIBLE.
ALL IN ALL,TESCO COME OFF AS A CANT BE BOTHERED COMPANY,WHO HAVE LITTLE REGARD FOR THE PAYING CUSTOMER WHO KEEPS THEM EMPLOYED.
ASDA HERE I COME.....
I shop online each week as it easier to do my shopping and that of my elderly Mum at the same time. A while back Tesco created a favourite's list which I could return to each week and things I bought on a regular basis appeared on it. Great it cuts time down on searching for things or so I thought. This week there are currently over 50 items unavailable on my favourites list, this is ridiculous and has been happening more and more so much that in fact I am having to go out to my nearest Supermarket (Sainsbury's) to buy the things I can't get at Tesco. This rather defeats the object as the idea is to save me time. I may as well just go to the Supermarket instead at least I can get everything in one go. Customer service are very prompt at replying but nothing is ever resolved. It's time they took a long hard look at the set up and made major improvements. I for one am seriously considering leaving Tesco and trying another Online shop i.e Sainsbury's or Asda.
Talk about being very disloyal to the ones who need it most, just today I have been dealing with quite a few issues with some of the Tesco's staff.
So, I have decided to make up my mind and to go ahead, putting up a mega-complaint which does not only goes towards me but is directed to the other people who were once known to experience the same sort of trouble from a member of security.
I now officially hate what Tescos had in store for me today as they have now proven to be very unfair towards the people with who are known to suffer with special needs, just because I have chosen to wear my hoodie around the premises of your shop does NOT in any way mean I am a CROOK! The reasons to why I must wear it around public places such as that are for reasons that are such psychological that it is also beginning to effect my lack of confidence in and around public places, without out the simple coverage of a hoodie, my confidence and self-esteem would increasingly begin to die off, my ability to even set a foot outside would become more of a challenge than ever.
For the love of all who seem depressed and are too classed with such medical and mental conditions such as GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and moderate depression, it just shocks me how much Tesco's take actual acknowledgement, even for the ones who are on the Autistic Spectrum, like me.
How dare they proceed to do this to somebody as troubled as me?
Talk about having a lack of common sense towards humans and their rights! Being stopped and accused by a member of security among others during my time of regular shopping without any harm is an offense! Bickering to the other staff after that is not tolerated either! Thanks to them I am now afraid of even setting foot into that shop in risk of once again being put into the same position, with the same member of staff, people reporting me for something such as meaningless as that? Autism Concern is sure to be set in their way if they even dare to proceed with the same actions towards me and my father!
So, here we go with an apology for even writing something such as this, it is just that, whenever someone goes against me and my own rights, things do tend to become ugly, I wouldn't even plan to do anyone harm, I wish for people to be understood, not judged, where's the peace of mind in people?
I am only a youngster, so please do not take this personally as I do not know any better.
And as a note, this is to only be directed at the Tesco's security only and not meant to be taken as a note of harassment.
Thank you for your time.
I went to the Tesco cafe this morning for breakfast i had Sausage, Hash Brown, Toast, Scrambled Egg and Beans. The sausage was horrible and very chewy, there was hardly any potato in the hash brown and the scrambled eggs were cold and were stuck together and tasted disgusting. The customer service was good but the food was horrible, definitely not returning.
I bought a telly (technika) a few months back, te DVD player has never worked, and now the screen has ruptured - I took the tv back to store and they gave me a telephone number to call. I called them the following morning as they were closed, and they accused me of breaking my own telly just by looking at a picture that was taken on my phone. How can someone accuse you of something they haven't been out to inspect? The telly has not moved from my bedside table!!! This is terrible service. The manager over the phone was very rude and didn't want to take the time to speak to me! He shouted and would not allow me to speak!!! My partner works for tesco and he feels so ashamed of this as he works for such a sham!!!! DO NOT BUY A TV FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! Robbing, rude, and will not inspect an item they have sold, not forgetting they sold me the telly in a damaged box and advised me in the event of any damage or anything to return the item! This is not customer service, I have emailed the CEO AND WHAT A SURPRISE I HEAR NOTHING!!!! Trading standards, FOS ad watchdog will be hearing about my painful experience with tesco as a whole, I shop in tesco for everything!!! Shocking service. You people should be ashamed!!!
I've vowed not to shop online at Tesco after my last three orders were late, and the supermarket response totally unacceptable. The supermarket apparently takes the position that they are so big that the needs of their individual customers don't matter. There are apparently big problems at their Greenford depot - if you live in West London don't expect your orders to arrive on time. The last delivery driver told me there were staff shortages that weren't being plugged and that everyone was complaining.
I have recently received my Car insurance renewal which is double the price of what a competitor was offering me. I called Tesco to see if they can match that without any explanation they said no. The customer service agent who goes by the name of "KATE" I don't know her surname as she refused to give was so rude did not try to keep me as a loyal customer at all. Considering I have been with Tesco Insurance for the past 7 years and paid around £6000 if not more to them.
I find it absolutely disgusting this is how you treat your supposed "Loyal" customers. Not only I have my insurance with you, but I do my weekly shopping at Tesco. But from today onwards. I will now go to your competitors and never go back to tesco for my Car Insurance I wish I new that 7 years ago. I will also pass this on to all my friends and family who have tesco insurance and shop their to go else where and also post this message on every forum. As tesco do not appreciate their customers at all.
