quality of product let down by attention to detail
Good product, expensive delivery with no option to reduce this cost, further irritated by incomplete shipment upon arrival negating the high cost quick delivery!! follow up was sound and additional items shipped to make up the order, however that in itself was incomplete. At time of writing still waiting for the full order delivery of in-stock items, almost a week later......................

I am very sorry for the missing parts and any inconvenience this has caused you, as soon as we received your email we ensured despatch of the parts for you and any additional parts to this.
Unfortunately due to the size of the goods to be shipped this had to go with a larger vehicle and we do try to make delivery charges as fair as possible. We do not incorporate any hidden delivery chares into item prices and therefore customers know what they are paying, however your comments have been taken on board.
The missing parts from your order could not have been foreseen im afraid as these should have been pre packed in manufacturing, this has been logged on our system against the product and the information is used for reporting back to our manufacturers and quality control.

Wrong item, poorly packaged
The item arrived quickly, however the box it came in was badly damaged and therefore the plastic was scrathced and in places broken!
The item was smaller than the item i had seen and ordered, with two panels not he three shown in the photo when i bought it.
Despite emails asking for a refund, no appology was offered, but a refund was given and fairly quickly

I am very sorry for the damaged delivery and for any inconvenience caused, as soon as we received the case on ebay we had responded to this case and granted the refund due to the damages as soon as we could. Any damages can always either be replaced or refunded. Please accept our sincere apologies for the item error

Need to get a grip
Ordered storage bins from the website for an urgent project. Website showed that the bins were in stock, it allowed me to place an order and took my money. I was advised the following day that the goods were not in stock so I cancelled the order. 30 minutes later I received an order to say the goods had been despatched (they hadn't). To cap it all I had to wait approx. 5 days for my credit card to be refunded.
Needless to say I will not even consider using this company again.

Unfortunately there are times when items go out of stock and the website can take 12 to 24 hours to update to show this, which is why as soon as your order came through we contacted you to inform you of the stock issue and to offer alternartive items.
On this occasion you decided to cancel the order and a refund was processed by us right away, however this can take up to 3 working days to show into your bank account, which we dont have control over im afraid.(for example when people take items back to a store, the refund is not instant)
We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you, if you do decide to use us again we would bemore than happy to look at a 20% discount on a new order

very poor customer service, would nt recommend
After purchasing over e bay I contacted them to explain that the bins which where advertised as medium sized where only a 100mm in size, and not the medium bins I expected (240mm) I was sent a rude e mail saying I should read the listing, not at all the service I expected, very poor indeed! And a very misleadind listing! Would not use again!

I am very sorry if you feel we handled your query in a negative way, and that the service you received was poor. unfortunately 'medium' size is the middle size in our range of bins, and one persons medium could be another persons large, which is why we always ask people to check the sizes on the listing.
If you would like to exchange them for a more suitable size this can be arranged for you.

Tool Racks Ideal for Garden Workshop

i went on ebay just looking for wall paper but i cam across this company .great emazing work tools and workbenches.im not a tom boy but i brought a workbench and me and my mick love it .and we was suprised at the cost even with delivery it was cheaper than some stores.as you now im agrophobic so i cant go out so im glad with companies like these.GREAT

Rockbottom Prices with a Professional Service!
Where I live in the Northern Highlands there is no opportunity to buy many articles locally - the nearest city is more than an hour away by road and with petrol at £1.49 a litre. You can imagine my delight to be able to sit in the comfort of my own home and order a supply of storage boxes online from Bernards Bins at a fraction of the price I would expect to pay here. Unlike some firms they do not add a premium to carriage rates for the Highlands. - thanks. Delivery was carefully tracked and I was thoughtfully informed by email that delivery would be a day longer than expected - again thanks.
My order was well packed and included a small brochure outling their latest special deals ..........which I might just take up!

Bernards bins = good, Bernards bins choice in courier = bad
This is the second time i've purchased from Bernards Bins, first time worked like a charm.. I ordered 2 benches, and 2 sets of shelving in one of their package deals, which arrived as described within 24hrs and was left just inside my back gate as requested as I was not home. Ive been using these now for 18months, so when it came time to re-organise the garage to make space for a new toy I had no hesitation going straight back there..
This time around, I ordered another set of shelves and another bench to match the ones I already had. I went through the check-out and selected the only delivery option (next day courier - £10), paid, and waited. got an email confirmation pretty much straight away, and then an hour or so later an email from the courier company (UK Mail) to say 2 items due for delivery tomorrow.. All good? you would think so..
So friday comes, I get an email saying we will deliver 2 items today, but nothing arrives
Saturday morning I get an email saying we will deliver 2 items today, then an hour later another one saying no we wont
Monday morning I get an email saying we will deliver 2 items today
Monday night i get home and there's an "attempted delivery card" for 2 items, so I think fine, i'll collect and arrange to do so on the UK mail website
Tues evening I drive from west leicestershire to north Leicester on my way home (south leicestershire) from work only to find there's only 1 item (racking) waiting for me and a load of abuse and BS from the courier.. Apparnetly there was only one item sent, even though their computer system (they showed me the screen) shows two items being collected, taken to a depot, transferred to leicester, out for delivery, and back for re-delivery! only one item was on hold for collection though! so WHO NICKED MY BENCH?! I get fobbed off by UK Mail, so call Bernards Bins who agree to refund my "next day delivery" charge, and send me another bench, to be left either with a neighbour or around the back of the house..
As I type Im still waiting for this item (should arrive tomorrow) and have no concerns over the customer support from BB or quality of the goods, HOWEVER i have no faith in their choice of courier..
I would have given BB 5* for their service and goods, but ultimately even though the actions of courier are out of their hands, BB have selected them as a business partner and they are a reflection of the overall customer experience for a mail order company

Thank you for your comments regarding BB customer service, as soon as a problem is reported we try and resolve the situation as quickly as possible with the least amount of inconvenience to the customer.
Unfortunately on this occasion the couriers had let us down so we are very sorry for all of the delays.
