This is the third time I have booked through Alpharooms, each booking has been flawless.
My only comment, and not necessarily a negative, is that the final booking is made though Booking.com, and when I had a query, it was them that I contacted to resolve the issue. (which was also dealt with quickly and efficiently)
I have only booked accommodation that I have used before and am happy with, so have had no issues about the quality of accommodation.
Finally, I've found them to provide the most competitive prices.
Trouble is i haven't received as much documentation as i have done from other companies and I am getting a bit worried cos i haven't dealt with alpha rooms b4. I can phone them but on the email you can't seem to just ask when the rest of the documents are coming
We booked a holiday to Barcelona through Alpha Rooms along with transport which we paid for up front. We wouldn't usually choose the transport option however as our flight was a late one, we had concerns about public transport. Also we weren't sure exactly where our hotel was.
Unfortunately our transfer never arrived. After waiting and searching for 40min, we had no choice but to get a taxi (buses had stopped running), costing us 50 euros. This is on top of the £17.04 paid for the transfer.
I contacted alpha rooms immediately on our return and have been horrified by the response we've received. Bad service wouldn't do it justice! I've called and sent online messages several times, I haven't yet received an apology or received a refund, let alone compensation for the taxi costs and phone calls etc.
Alpha rooms may be cheap, but if anything goes wrong you receive shoddy service. I wouldn't use them again.

After another hotel broker let us down and couldn't fulfill our booking, we tried Alpharooms instead. I cannot fault their service. The website was easy to use and confirmation emails were despatched quickly. When we arrived the hotel was expecting us and our rooms were just what we wanted. Fantastic experience with Alpharooms and I would not hesitate to use them again!
I was impressed by the quick response when I needed to confirm my reservation. I had the seaview room as it was promised. I realized the credibility of alpharooms as soon as I got to my hotel( Grand Oasis Cancun). Thanks for you guys I have the best trip of my life .
We booked the hotel room package at a good price, then decided to book airport car parking and also the airport transfer to the hotel through alpharooms. All went very smoothly and without any hitch, the airport transfer from Lanzarote to Playa Blanca was at a really good price £23 return. The only criticism I have, was that I had to chase Alpharooms up regarding the airport parking voucher, I did not receive it until the last working day before departure. This is the first time I have used this company, but it will definitely not be the last.
I booked my trip with Alpharooms. The site was easy to use, I received all of my confirmation by e-mails shortly after booking and you are able to log on and print of your confirmations again if you need too.
I used alpharooms transfers. They were waiitng when we arrived, were friendly and showed us to the coach which was clean and comfortable with a friendly driver.
Same for the return trip, On time, friendly driver and comfortable coach.
I received reminder e-mails before going from alpharooms with a helpful checklist to make sure you've done everything you need before you leave for your holiday.
The return transfer trip was advertised at reception so you didn't even need to call up to confirm you return pick up.
I would recommend alpharooms!
Airport bookings, flights and hotel were fantastic - i recommend the Daina hotel in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca, however, we were disappointed that we had to sit on the coach for an hour and a quarter when we arrived at Palma even though we had booked an alpha rooms shuttle and weren't expecting the delay.
We had used alpharooms for few time and all of them were great,so far...At this trip to Palma de Majorca they failed!Here the details:
- on our arriving we were looking 30 min. the desk/person to guide us to our transfer.We were sending off few times from different desks till find out where exactly was our one as the answer was:"We don't know,,Just go there"
- we were stuck 2 HOURS on the airport with no reason...Yes,2 HOURS..About 20 people in the bus for different resorts destinations as some of them comprehensive explained that they are diabetics and need a proper dinner at time.We asked the driver(nearly 6,7 times) when will we move on and nothing...At last after our question to the girl behind the transfer desk "Why are we still here for 2 hours?" She just replied that we are cheating..Or let me paraphrase it"No,you're here only from 30 min." That really infuriated us.After all we moved forward...After 2 hours and 15 min!Thank you for the pleasant welcome!:(
I try to always use alpharooms whenever I can. I find their service easy to use and efficient. No hassle which is what I like when booking a trip. Plus last year when we had trouble with our flight (not booked through alpha rooms by the way) they were most helpful in organising the extra nights accommodation. If you are an independent traveller who knows exactly what they want I would recommend alpharooms every time.
This is the third consecutive holiday I have booked with alpharooms where no accommodation or transfer vouchers have been sent within 72 hours and am still waiting 12 days this time. The last time I went into manage my account three times to request a resend, with no acknowledgement, I had to phone to then get them sent from a very helpful advisor who then sent me them via his own e-mail. Whatever there problem is needing sorted out and I will think twice before booking again,as I never used to have any problems.
I phoned up on two separate occasions to check that a 1 bedroom room was in fact a 1 bedroom room and not just a room for all 4 people to stay in.
Was told twice by two separate alpha rooms sales people that it was 100% correct. One even quoted that they and phoned the hotel to double check, which should have explained the 5 mins I was on hold!
However, once I had booked and paid I was then contacted by costumer services you were sorry to tell me that the 1 bedroom room was just a single room and that they'd 'look into it and get back to me'.
Numerous phone calls and 5 days later I have still not heard from them and we are still booked into a single room for 4 people!
Then because this is not a package holiday my flight is booked and non refundable even though my accommodation was miss sold!
We'll see if Alpha Rooms even bothers to respond or put this right.
Lesson learned - Don't rely on their sales people or web site, do your own homework first, even phone the hotel yourself.
Don't expect much after sales support.
If they do in fact respond to my request and sort the miss sold accommodation out then I would obviously revise this review.
When I booked my holiday with Alpharooms, in error I selected bed of breakfast instead of full board as I meant too. However when I tried to ammend the booking, Alpharooms wanted a £50 addministation fee. I thought I'd cancel and rebook, however I was directed to the 'Terms & Conditions', where I would loose 20% of the value of the holiday if I cancelled. They had me all ends up. I was left with no option but to stay booked with bed & breakfast, but I'll have to eat out for the rest of the holiday. A pity really as I normally stay by the pool, as that was my idea of a pool holiday.
We have booked at least 5 holidays with Alpha Rooms and so far not a problem at all. Transfers has been spot on time ( even when recently our flight was redirected due to person needing medical attention and we were 2 hrs late, our transfer was waiting for us)
Have booked another holiday and will be booking more in the future .
Alpharooms is so simple and easy to use.
i always check on Alpharooms before any other site as i find them more than reasonable on pricing and they tend to have more accommodation listed than some other sites...
if i need to telephone them to confirm anything the staff are always very polite and eager to help in every way that they can to make your booking as easy as they can.
i would recommend Alpharooms to anyone who is looking for an easy, simple way to book their holidays/flights/accommodation.....
This is the third holiday that I have booked with Alpharooms, it is a great site and a great way to book a holiday.
Having challenged the price promise guarantee, have heard nothing back, still awaiting response !
It has now been 10 days, and despite 3 messages posted to them, plus one direct email, absolutely no response !
I believe the "price promise" is misleading if not illegal
I've been booking holidays with Alpharooms for some considerable years now and wouldn't contemplate going anywhere else. It's easy to find the holiday you want, easy to book and the follow up service is superb. On the odd occasion where I've had to contact customer support they've been helpful, courteous and quick to respond. On top of all this, we've never found out holidays cheaper than Alpharooms.
I was a little wary of booking through alpharooms at first as we had to book flights through Ryan Air for the holiday. I explained to the lady that I was new to this and she was very helpful, Explained that I would need to book the accomodation wth her first and then book the flights. Yikes! she took a ten pound deposit and said that we would get this back if for some reason I could not get those flights with Ryan Air. I booked the flights and then went back to them for transfers which again, very helpful staff. Gave me an itinery number for the holiday. Found the staff to be very pleasant and informative. Hope all still goes well for July when we are there. Fingers crossed eh. Only problem I could mention is that the call is 10p per minute.
